great-great grandad John Lawrence Johns.
.
"It is family folklore that Johnny was about 17 when he came to Australia as a groom, with a consignment of horses for a Dr Ramsay who lived in Sydney at Fivedock. His neightbour was Robert Johnston, son of Major George Johnston of the infamous 'Rum Corps', living at nearby Annandale. Robert Johnston held Jier Station at Yass to where the horses went and Johnny with them, jumping ship. He also apparently changed his name then from Jones to Johns. He eventually became overseer on Jier Station; was a top hand with horses. He later managed the Royal Hotel in Yass. He and Sarah, daughter of convicts Mary Ann Whalan (7 yrs) and George Potter (14yrs), did not get on too well. Sarah was pretty fiery. "- from cousin Jacqui

The Brighter the Light, the Darker the Shadow
This is no ordinary week and it’s definitely no ordinary time. The planetary aspects are extraordinarily intense with the potential for both escalating conflict and greater one world consciousness ,depending on our decisions. As the Sun conjuncts giant planet Jupiter on Thursday then crosses the World Axis at 0 degrees Cancer on Friday, events on the world stage will be right in our faces. Then the Solstice begins imprinting our next 3 months with aspects sure to get our attention.
Lastly, the Capricorn Full Moon next Sunday at 2 degrees Capricorn conjunct Pluto opposite Sun /Jupiter /Black Moon Lilith offers the potential for a quantum leap in male/female equality. The Solstice right on the Galactic Centre funnels huge cosmic downloads altering the earth’s magnetic field.
The Sabian symbol for this Full Moon is: ”A human soul, in its eagerness for new experiences, seeks embodiment; a powerful yearning for whatever will increase the scope and depth of one’s contact with other living beings”.
